Extreme performance comes along low with. Our hubs are designed to provide the highest performance and reliability. They have the letters R, A, R, laser engraved and visible when the wheels spin. Their weight is very low. They also offer many other strength.
The front one is offers several important characteristics. Secondly, our hub has a genius pre-load bearing system that results in very low friction, which translates into watts savings. Last but not least, despite its very low weight - 65g - its bearings are over-sized. Indeed the 6900 bearings offer 1.5 to 2.5 higher static resistance than the bearings used in lighter hubs, but also in hubs weighting 50g more! This hub is made in the United-States by Alchemy, specialized in the wheel.
Rear hub We offer two different rear hubs. - The first one is built into triplet laced wheels: 2 to 1 spoking. It is specially designed for this kind of pattern. Indeed the distance between the hub center and the flanges, the flanges diameter allow a very even spoke tension on both sides of the wheel. This light hub (182g) is built with TEMPO, SVELT, OPTIMAL and MAGNUM rims. - The second one is built with regular spoked wheels: 12 spokes per side of the wheel. This very light hub (174g) is built with the EVEN rims. ![]() RAR hub, for 2 to 1 spoking Like our front hub, the rear versions are also built with strong and large bearings to make the wheel as stiff, as stable and as durable as possible. Respectively receiving a 15mm axle for the special 2:1 hub, and a 17mm axle for the standard spoking one, they are both easy to set. Concerning their geometry, they both feature a large diameter drive side flange (64mm) and the spacings from hub center to flange are nice to improve the spoke tension ratio left/right, and the wheel lateral stiffness. The bearings into these hubs are 6802/6902 for the 2:1 hub, and 6803/6903 for the second one. Our hubs are made in Germany by Tune. Their 8 year old design proved to be fully reliable over the time. ![]() RAR hub for regular 12/12 spoking |
