Last sunday's Omloop van het Waasland race has been won by the northern "Bomba".

With a mean speed of 44.6km/h, the 191km race has been very fast. Denis Flahaut who was the strongest sprinter confirms his good early season results, despite a winter training performed in north France where snow, cold and wind were present. Denis also finished 4th at Beverbeek Classic and 6th at Wanzele.

We provided Denis a special RAR Absolute wheelset based on 46 and 66mm deep rims, a DT Swiss Aerolite spoking, and DT Swiss 190 Ceramic hubs. This wheelset is specially built to withstand the huge strains pro sprinters put on their bikes and wheels. The wheelset only weights 1270g though. It remains pretty light and offers the best compromise for sprinters.
